From John Gilbert's College Hockey Notebook column in today's Star Tribune: Backchecks Gophers center Brian Bonin leads the nation in scoring with 27 goals, 41 assists for 68 points, three ahead of North Dakota's Teeder Wynne. The top goal scorers in the country are Burke Murphy of St. Lawrence, and Jay Pandolfo of BU with 31 each. Peter Geronazzo of CC has 29, Chris Drury of BU 28. The leader in assists is Kevin Hilton of Michigan with 47; Wynne and Bonin share second at 41, and Martin St.Louis of Vermont has 40. Geronazzo leads the nation in game-winning goals with seven; Bonin, Anson Carter of Michigan State, Steve Ferranti of Michigan State, Jeff Daw of Lowell and Sean Tallaire of Lake Superior State all have six.
