Last night's game at UND should go down as one of the most exciting games
of the year. UND was down 5-2 with only 7 minutes left, but the Sioux
came back to score four goals in the next six minutes to take a 5-6
lead. AA then scored a goal with 2 seconds left, and the game went to
overtime. Ian Kallay ended the game by getting a goal with about a
minute and a half left. Once again, goal-tending was not a high-light
for UND. Kvalevog came out of the crease and shot the puck right back to
an AA winger. Consequently, the AA player skated past him and scored a
goal. Another interesting item from the game was when Dean Blais pulled
Kvalevog with about four minutes left to alow UND to have a 6-4 advantage
on the ice. Basically, it was do or die for the Sioux, and it did lead
to a goal. UND is now in fourth place, but if the work between the pipes
does not improve, they will not be staying there. Oh, one last thing,
Teeder Wynne had four break-aways and missed on all four. However, he
was still able to have a two point night, and Kevin Hoogstein had a five
point night (including a hat trick!)
