Well, actually, I like Crowder right where he is.  :-)
 
I would put Crowder in the Top 5 of all college coaches.  I can't imagine *any*
other coach taking over a program with as many disadvantages as UMass-Lowell
had and turning things around any faster.
 
However, I'm not sure if Crowder *wants* a pro job right now.  I don't know
this directly from him, but he's a family oriented man and I'm not sure if
the insanity of a pro coaching job would be a good matchup with those values.
Later I could certainly see it, but I'm not sure if the timing is right now.
 
My own guess is that he's looking forward to the challenge of filling the
stands at the new UML rink with a team that is perenially in the NC$$s.
 
But IMO he's certainly more qualified for a pro coaching position than, say,
a guy who only had one year of coaching experience in the AHL and then was
handed the Broons coaching position.
