The sellout crowd rose to its feet with a minute to play and began to roar. What had seemed the unthinkable at the beginning of the weekend had become reality. UMass-Lowell, the team that "hadn't beaten anyone significant", had swept the defending national champs and number one or two team in the country. A simply awesome performance! After the game Bruce Crowder, the coach with the magic wand, was as emotional as I have ever seen him as he raised his arms first on the bench and then pumped them as he stepped onto the ice. Also noteable is that Lowell had three of its top recruits in for the weekend. Talk about timing! If they a'int impressed now, they a'int impressable. Gotta go now. Time to crank up the strains of The Hallelujah Chorus. DaveH P.S. The score was UMass-Lowell 5 BU 4.
