If so, I must point out that at present Lowell is second in Hockey East (although admittedly with schedule considerations Maine is highly likely to pass them). I'll leave Mike to defend Merrimack's honor, but if you would care to substitute Lowell's archrival UMass-Amherst ("the *real* UMass?"
