Tonight 3261 fans saw the Clarkson Golden Knights, undefeated in league play
beat long-time rival RPI by the score of 7-1.

The game started out with CU scoring the first goal of the game. It was a
power play goal, with Todd White getting the credit, his 11th of the year.
RPI came right back with a goal of their own, also a power play, just 6 minutes
later. The teams played very sloppy in the first period, with the period
ending in a 1-1 tie.

Both teams started the second period, very sloppy, but Clarkson quickly
put it all together, scoring all 5 goals of the period. Goals were scored
by Clark (power play), Chris Lipsett, Dave Seitz, Steve Palmer, and a
short-handed goal by Kevin Murphy. The second period was definitely
controlled by Clarkson, and by the end of 2 the game was out of reach at 6-1.

The third period again was some what sloppy, but Clarkson was able to tally
one more, another short-handed goal by Jean-Francois Houle. After Houle's
goal, RPI pulled goalie Mike Tamburro, and replaced him with Bryan Masotta.
