What a stir I've caused suggesting that Clarkson change their chant. I have noticed a few things during the discussion though; Willard Kohler thought that the name changed to Clarkson College in the mid 60s but ...when I attended in the late 70s (75-80) we were Clarkson College of Technology (CCT). Did the name revert back after 64? As far as losing a sense of hockey history, moving out of Walker Arena had to be devastating. The noise that could be generated in there was deafening. I hope the bell is still a part of the game. It used to be directly behind the opposing goalie during the first and third period. Ken Dryden once said that the worst thing about hockey was that damn bell at Clarkson. If there is anyone out there who has been to games in both Walker and Cheel let me know how the "new" building feels. For me it will always be "LET'S GO TECH!!!". +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ + Harold "Bud" McCarty + +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
