Along the lines of the "Let's Go Tech" debate, I'm pleased to see that most posts regarding Brown use the nickname "Bruins," rather than "Bears," which is currently the official name. I have no idea why the name was ever changed, but I'm a traditionalist, and side with the editors of the Brown Daily Herald sports section, who refuse to call the teams by any other name then "Bruins." Also can anyone at the Brown-Clarkson or Brown-SLU games last weekend comment on the performance of sophomore goalie Jeff Holowaty? Was his performance as impressive as the numbers sound (76 saves on 82 shots in the two games)? I've long argued that he ought to be given more of a chance to prove himself, and would be delighted if the goaltending position were solidified under him.
