It was a true pleasure to get to talk again with Luiz Valente between the second and third period. We were both having such a good time watching a great match, that the chance to exchange some addition team notes in person was extremely nice. > Brown and Harvard played the way college hockey should be played: > fast skating, crisp passing, puck movement, spirited physical > play, AND NO CLUTCHING AND GRABBING. Couldn't agree with you more Luiz. It was an excellent performance. > The Harvard freshman class is impressive, particularly Craig Adams ... C. Adams could be the next great Harvard forward. I would also add major kudos to first-year Ben Storey who looks like a crafty veteran back on the blue line. > Holmes and Nielsen played extremely well ... As did Konik and McLaughlin in more subtle ways last evening. > The best players for Brown were Mike Flynn ...and freshman Adam Smith ... We talked about these two talented players both of whom are a joy to watch. > Although the final score was disappointing for Brown fans, there are > positive signs that the Bears are moving in the right direction. I totally agree. Brown has a heck of a team and will be there come March! While I hope both teams get home ice for the opening round, a Harvard-Brown quarterfinal series would be fantastic! _____________ / good shooting hungerf _____________/ HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
