A couple of comments from the Badger came Friday night:

- Wisconsin scored four power-play goals. Been a long time since _that_ has
happened.

- One of the reasons for the pplay's success was an extended 5x3 in the
second period caused by two major penalties against Tech for checking from
behind. They were both silly penalties, and clear calls based on the
current enforcement of the rule -- in both cases, the Tech player hit a
Badger from behind about two feet from the boards (the most dangerous area),
resulting in the Wisconsin player crumpling to the ice for a while.
Personally, I had never seen back-to-back majors to give such a long 5-on-3
before. Wisconsin's two goals during the span turned a 3-1 game into a 5-1
blowout -- the key sequence of the game.

- It must have felt good for the team to be home and winning. Mentally,
they looked a lot more there last night. If they keep a good mindset and
work ethic, they will continue the climb up to the middle of the pack, where
I think they will be at the end of the season.

- Tonight, WI will try for its first sweep of the season. Puck em up!
