The Botterill game disqualification on Friday night according to Head Coach Red Berenson (from Saturday's Ann Arbor News) was a terrible call because Botterill had not thrown one punch and was forced to get involved in a fight disproving a point made in a response by Eeyore. However; he is totally right about the team as of late and that is what happened in the Minnesota game. Usually, when we get involved in a physical type game against average or better teams, we always lose and tonight was just that. I am not totally blaming Michigan for losing tonight because their goalie played well but we tend to rough it up a little too much at times creating low scoring games which is a major disadvantage to our team. Botterill is definitely a great player but sitting out games due to total stupidity (not Friday but in Miami two weeks ago) will definitely hinder the team as it did tonight in the near future. It is one thing for a freshman to retaliate but not a veteran and Jason and even Warren should definitely know this by now. I would also really be on the coaching staff for allowing such conduct. They really need to work a strategy to allow the extremely heavy number of penalties accumulated this year to decrease. Special teams definitely will make this year's team or will break them -- hoping for the former. I hope this will be emphasized more in the practices. ============================ Kenneth M.
