Karen Heasley asked: >One question to everyone: after the game on the radio, they were talking >about how CC outscored NMU 32-5 in the four game series and how unusual >that was. What's the largest margin for a team sweeping a series like that? This is another one of those things that no one keeps track of. All we can do is try to find a case that beats it. 1992-93 Merrimack vs Maine: => A 11/13/92 L 1 Maine 14 => A 11/14/92 L 2 Maine 11 => H 02/26/93 L 2 Maine 4 => H 02/27/93 L 1 Maine 8 Total score: Merrimack 6, Maine 37 (-31) There may have been worse ones. I don't know. The second two games of this series were actually close. The 8-1 game was 3-0 until Maine exploded for 5 mid way through the third. But the first two games were complete blowouts. --- --- Mike Machnik [log in to unmask] *HMM* 11/13/93 >> Co-owner of the College Hockey Lists at University of Maine System << ***** Unofficial Merrimack Hockey home page located at: ***** ***** http://www.tiac.net/users/machnik/MChockey/MChockey.html ***** HOCKEY-L is for discussion of college ice hockey; send information to [log in to unmask], The College Hockey Information List.
