As far as other contenders in the "amazing feats" category, add Blaine Lacher's (LSSU) shutout streak near the end of 1993-94. I don't have a guide handy, but I *believe* the final count was 375:01! From memory, he gave up a goal early in a game (first couple of minutes), then shut the opponents down for the rest of the night. He followed that with five consecutive shutout games, bringing the streak to almost 360 minutes. In the CCHA championship game, Michigan's Brian Wiseman broke the streak late in the first period. (In a beautiful moment of irony, Lacher's shutout streak ended as the Lakers were shutout by Michigan for the CCHA title. However, LSSU's revenge was sweet as they dumped the Wolverines in the NCAA quarterfinals one week later.) Another amazing "feat" which doesn't really fit into an established category involved Lacher in the 1993 NCAA title game. Trailing LSSU 4-2 entering the third period, Maine SR Jim Montgomery converted a natural hat trick in the third period, all on feeds by FR Paul Kariya, to give the Black Bears the title. The feat is more interesting in that the three points brought Kariya to 100 for the season and allowed Montgomery to surpass 300 for his career.
