Well, J.P. did return to the nets this weekend for Boston University.
With 12:00 remaining in the third period on Saturday night and the
Terriers leading Northeastern University 10-2, Jack Parker inserted
McKersie to replace starter Tom Noble. As can be expected, the sellout
crowd of 3806 at Walter Brown Arena rose to their feet, and exploded with
a standing ovation and chants of "J.P., J.P." McKersie bounded on to the
ice, and No. 29 stopped all five shots he faced to close out the game.

The timetable for McKersie's continued comeback is still being debated at
BU. Right now he is the third goalie behind Noble and freshman Michel
Larocque, but according to Parker, McKersie has made great strides in
practice, and may earn a start later in the season.
