What is the general conscenses of the new WCHA fighting rules. For those
who have not heard, the WCHA is piloting some new rules. If a player
receives a fighting penalty he suspended for the rest of the game. Then
next fighting penalty will, the player will get a three game suspension.
The third fighting penalty results in a season suspension.

I have a hard time with this logic. I know that there is a lot of people
who say that there is too much violence in hockey. But if you think
about it, these rules change the face of hockey. By implementing these
rules, you tie the arms of teams that are big and physical. UND is the
perfect example. The last few years, UND basically recruited big
physical players. With the crack down on physical play, UND seems to
have began recruiting smaller players.

I am not sure if I like the changes College hockey are implementing,
personally prefer physical hockey to finesse hockey.

What does everyone else thing, I am interested in other opinions.
