Reply to: RE>Why didn't BC's Greg Taylor play vs MSU?

The word I heard at the game yesterday is that Taylor is suspended for one
month for "drunk and disorderly conduct." No other details were available.

McLaughlin didn't look bad. Actually, neither did BC on the whole, as they
were outshooting MSU for most of the game (not sure what the final SOG was),
although they weren't necessarily great shots. What seemed to kill BC were a
few very costly breakdowns. They were only down 3-2 midway through the third
but just couldn't get the equalizer.

I noticed in the recaps of the BC-MSU game at the Freezeout that BC played
freshman Andy McLaughlin in net rather than junior Greg Taylor. Any word
on why? Is Taylor injured? I would have expected him to play against such
a high-caliber opponent.

I'm also interested in hearing how McLaughlin looked. Does he have a
chance at stealing away some of the considerable playing time Taylor is
expected to see and has seen the last two seasons? He'd have to be pretty
good to do that.
