Karl earlier asked about a player receiving a minus if he is in the penalty box
when the opposing team scores a power play goal.
 
According to the NHL, and we in the CCHA use the same guidelines, the only type
of goal that is not counted towards plus/minus is a power play goal.
 
If a team scores a shorthanded goal, those three or four players get a (+),
while the each member of the power play unit receives a (-).
 
If a team scores into a empty-net, those skaters receive a (+), while all six
skaters on the team scored receive a (-).
