For my first Beanpot I was given seats in the front row. I knew there'd be problems with the corners, but it was better than the obstructed view/hunch over at the waist to see half the ice/court seats I always had for the Celtics and Bruins. Little did I know some extremely obese guy with a photo pass would create an obstruction bigger than any beam ever did! The feeling of the Beanpot that was different from other Garden events was that it was college hockey Oscar night in Boston. It was cool to be there and even cooler if you won. The Garden was fun because unlike some arena's I've been to, the crowd loved sports. Even the suits in the stands were fans. Now there's just more room for the wait staff to tend to the corporate slugs who sit chatting, oblivous to what's going on in front of them. Bleh. Here's hoping the Fleet gets a personality. ________________________________ Helga Dimitrov CWRU Magazine Case Western Reserve University 235 Yost Hall, 216/368-6949 voice, -4835 fax Boston University 1995 NCAA Hockey Champions!
