If has been said once it has been said a thousand times: The new rink won't do diddly for attendance until the Bucks get a team that can actually win games. If they can even pull themselves up to the middle of the CCHA than I think they can bring some crowds in for big games. It simply will take time and good hockey play in order to get people to attend. But they will NOT get crowds any larger than what they have until they have a few years of solid play under their belts. This will be a long process for Ohio state, not nearly as fast as the "No nothing about hockey" officals at OSU think it will. Frankly Basketball and possibly bringing in the ECHL team in for some games will be what supports that place. These people at OSU seem to be either kidding themselves or are trying to put a very optimistic spin on their teams chances when they speak as though OSU will make a run for the CCHA title when the new building is done. They do football fairly well down there but they have a long way to go in running a first rate hockey team. From a BG point of view I look forward to not having to attend games in that slum at the fairgrounds, or that flea trap on their campus. Of course come to think of it, maybe OSU is looking to bring more BG and Miami-Ohio to road games. I do know people who don't go down their because they don't want to sit three hours in a cruddy location in order to see a for-gone conclusion..... Nathan W.L. Boyle "The Fan's Fan." BGSU
