When Jim Carey played for the University of Wisconsin he probably never
imagined he'd be drafted by an indoor soccer team, but that's what
happened in April. The Washington Warthogs got to the 10th, and last,
round of the draft for the Continental Indoor Soccer League and still
didn't have a goalie they wanted. They didn't want any of the players
who were left so they said, "Hey, who's the best goalie we know." and
decided to draft Carey as a joke. They're still looking for a goalie - I
don't think the Washington Capitals would be willing to give him to the
Warthogs, although Carey apparently thought it was pretty funny to
drafted by them.
