Well, folks, the fun and games never stop. From Satchel Sports: ISLANDERS' PILON OUT WITH SEVERELY SPRAINED ANKLE The New York Islanders announced today that defenseman Rich Pilon will miss four to six weeks with a severely sprained left ankle. The 26-year-old Pilon injured the ankle during Sunday night's game against the Ottawa Senators in his return to the lineup. Pilon, who missed the previous four games with a sore groin, appeared in 17 games this season with a goal and an assist. He is third on the team with 36 penalty minutes. Pilon's injury is the latest in a string of injuries to Islanders' defensemen. Scott Lachance (ankle) is expected to be out five to seven weeks and Darius Kasparaitis is lost for the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. ---------------------------------------- So now our starting six has the potential to be: Dineen Stanton Beers Luongo Vaske Chynoweth Oh my.
