I thought the reason that the ECAC's have stayed in Lake Placid had to do with agressive marketing by Ned Harkness and the Lake Placid people to the ECAC. I'm a little skeptical that it has to do with the Ivies anti-RPI sentiments -- and I've heard Ivy coaches express the opinion that Lake Placid is too far to travel. But please correct me if there is evidence of the anti-RPI feelings...(actually, RPI has benefited: when the NC$$ first round was held in Albany last year, they didn't have to travel; of course that wasn't determined by the ECAC's, but I still suspect the Lake Placid deal has some other parameters...)
