COMMENTS
Hilton and Madden can both play C/LW on the second line.
Herr plays C/RW on the fourth line. Sacka (C) and Arnold (RW)
have recently alternated playing on the fourth line. Look for
Sacka in the post-season...he's a heart and soul senior.
The top power play of late has been Hilton, Knuble, Luhning,
Madden and Morrison. The five forward line-up is the staple
of the Michigan power play. Top penalty killers up front are
Hilton, Luhning, Madden, Willis and Arnold/Sacka (depending
who is dressed). IMO, Halko and Sloan are the top defensive
pair in the CCHA. They normally elevate their play in big games
...which they didn't do in the loss to LSSU...so look for them to
be strong in the NCAAs. Hogan and Schock are also capable
offensively (don't look for goals...Michigan defensemen are not
asked to light the lamp). The other defensemen often rotate,
but look for the senior pair of Sakala and Sinclair in the NCAAs.
They've combined for 1 goal (Sakala's) in 152 career games.
Sinclair is big and strong defensively. Of course, Turco is
the workhorse in goal.
