Only Clarkson and New Hampshire, of the teams in the 1995 field, have yet to win a national championship. Of the teams who did not make this year's tournament, 7 have won the NC$$ title previously, for a total of 14 titles (North Dakota 5, Michigan Tech 3, Cornell 2, Boston College 1, Bowling Green 1, Harvard 1, Northern Michigan 1). Of the 10 in the tournament this year who have won the crown before, the longest championship drought belongs to Colorado College, who won its last championship in 1957, or 38 years ago. The only difference is they had the crowd behind them in both their first and second games at Munn. I doubt seriously that will be the case for MSU on Friday (8:30 pm EST, ESPN2).
