HEAD COACH ICE HOCKEY

The Ohio State University is seeking qualified candidates for a 12-
month, full-time position as head coach in our ice hockey program.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructs athletes in rules and fundamentals of
the sport, coaches technique and strategy; directs the recruitment
of athletes within NCAA, Big 10 and OSU policy and regulations;
schedules and organizes games, practices and conditioning programs;
coordinates logistical needs for the program including equipment,
travel and transportation; prepares and monitors program budgets;
monitors academic progress of student-athletes and provides
counseling; participates in development activities and media
relations; organizes and directs ice hockey camps and clinics.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in appropriate field.  Two-three
years' coaching experience in an intercollegiate hockey program and
proven success in recruiting of student-athletes; demonstrated
commitment to academic excellence and sound knowledge of NCAA
rules; successful candidates should have strong organizational and
administrative skills, and the ability to interact effectively with
media and the public.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and ability.

Of course, all of the rumors around here have Shawn Walsh taking
over the Buckeyes and attempting to revive the program.  No, I
