I don't know about this. I think the Lakers need two more wins to put them
in a position for a bid. In other words they'll have to beat Michigan.
Beating Miami, by no means a given, on Wednesday won't help the Lakers much
because Miami is ranked below them. Perhaps some of you more analytically
oriented folks out there can back my assertion up with numbers, but I feel
that the Lakers must win one game at the Joe to have the opportunity to
repeat. Anyway, it won't matter unless they decide to start playing some
defense. Last years Lakers averaged around 20 shots per game allowed. This
year it's still close to 30. It wasn't JUST Blaine Lacher last year ya
know.
