I tried to post a quick answer to this, but my auto-reply button sends to the
poster, not the list...sorry Mike.
 
Anyway, while pairings are indeed determined by an eternal rotation, playing
times are determined by past history. The defending Beanpot champion gets to
play in the nightcap.
