Dave Hendrickson earlier inquired about the draftable age.

Prior to this year's draft (1995), North American players had to be 18, 19 or
20 years-old to be eligible for the entry draft. For example, last year's
(1994) draft included players born in 1974, 1975 and 1976.

Now with the 19 & 20 year-old draft this year (1995), only players born in 1975
and 1976 are eligible unless an 18-year old (born in 1977) asks for his name to
be put forward. If he does, he loses collegiate eligibility!!!

The NHL Supplemental draft, which I believe was not in the new NHL/NHLPA
collective bargaining agreement, had players who were no longer eligible for
the NHL entry draft (i.e. 21, 22 year-olds), but to be eligible they had to
have been eligible for the entry draft after their first year at a North
American college.

For example, had the supplemental draft still be in effect for the 1995 draft,
sophomores born in 1974, juniors born in 1973 and 1974 and seniors born in
1972, 1973 and 1974 would have been eligible.
