What's even more unusual is that I called PC Saturday morning and they said NO amount of snow would make them cancel the game. That was all the encouragement I needed... >For people outside the area, north of Boston (i.e. Lowell, Merrimack, >etc.) got hit with more snow than Boston and points south (Providence). >It would certainly have been dangerous for Merrimack to bus down to >Providence, and this was pretty evident by about mid-day. Well, as an expert on this storm, I can tell you Providence did get hit pretty hard (10-12"), Boston got a dusting (6") and the Merrimack Valley only got about 14". >What was the attendance like at Lowell? The attendance at Providence was pretty sparse, just three. I couldn't believe they left the place wide open. I toyed with the idea of taking the kids for a spin around the rink. I chose to hustle home so I could not see the ULowell game on WNDS. All-in-all, a great day for hockey! cheers, rand -- Rand P.
