ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine Black Bears clinched
the Hockey East regular season championship and a berth in the
NCAA tournament by virtue of an 8-5 win over the UMass-Lowell
Riverhawks Sunday at Harold Alfond Sports Arena.
     Maine scored two short-handed goals in the second period.
