I would have to agree with John, even being an avid BG hockey fan. The game WAS strange, weird and basically just a game where you shake your head and say "How did that happen?" Even surrounded by the Michigan fans, the game was somewhat enjoyable and I even had a good laugh. BUT... I have a few questions: 1) What in the heck do the Michigan fans say after an opposing player gets a penalty? I can understand the "SEE YA!!" part but after that the chant is completely muttled. Especially for those of us in the "endzone". I would also have to say that I don't understand the purpose for doing this chant, when BOTH teams recieve penalties. Wouldn't you also be saying that to your OWN players?? Just a question. 2) What is with the officiating lately?? I know that there has been a lot of discussion here on the list, but the past few games I've seen have been horribly called, from both team's aspects. Not just from one side or the other, but very inconsistant from time to time. Letting one team take control of the game, and then try to let the other team have a chance. What purpose does this serve? 3) I have also heard a lot of talk about the University of Michigan fans lately, and I would have to say that the fans (the majority) of them are just there to cheer on their team. The small number of obnoxious fans, could've ruined the entire game for me, had I not been in such a good mood, and the game been SO weird. Of course, these are just a few questions from an observer and I am speaking only for myself. None of what I say holds any connection to anyone else in BG! :) Holzinger for Hobey Baker, Erika Harris BGSU class of 1998
