Colorado College beats Wisconsin tonight 5-2 in Madison, the first time for anyone on this team. Travis Cheyne started the scoring for CC in the first at 1:46. Schmidt scored at 12:31 for a 2-0 lead into intermission. At 8:01 of the second, Elick put Wisconsin on the board with a score. About 7 minutes later Ryan Reynard regained the two-goal lead at 15:22. Shortly thereafter, it was thought that Stewart Bodtker scored from Jay McNeill, but the referees waved it off, saying that he kicked the puck into the net. The announcers thought he had put it in with his stick and that the referees had blown the call and that they were both on the other side of the ice. In the third Williams closed the gap for Wisconsin to one at 3:35, but Cheyne scored his second of the night 5 minutes later to make it 4-2. R.J. Enga finished the scoring at 16:12 for the 5-2 score. Three Stars of the night: 1. Travis Cheyne (2 goals) 2. Colin Schmidt (1 goal, 2 assists) 3. Calvin Elfring (2 assists) Same teams tomorrow night, to be broadcast on the deuce. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Karen Heasley ~ "Sometimes I think the surest sign ~ ~ Colorado College '95 ~ that intelligent life exists else- ~ ~ Colorado Springs, CO ~ where in the universe is that none ~ ~ [log in to unmask] ~ of it has tried to contact us." ~ ~ [log in to unmask] ~ - Calvin, Calvin & Hobbes 11/9/94 ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
