As previously noted, RPI beat Cornell by a score of 4-1.

Tonight was a hard lesson learned for freshman head coach Dan Fridgen.
He juggled his lines for Colgate on Friday evening and came up with
lines that boggled the imagination, and created no offensive flow.

Tonight, we saw the reuniting of lines.
Regan-Richardson-Brick
Healey-Hamelin-Clarke
Matthews-O'Connor-Maye
Battaglia-Askew-Perardi

Dan Fridgen gets his lines back of offense in Hamelin and Richardson.

4 goals, all from these 2 lines.

As well the power play forward units consisted of:
Regan-Richardson-Brick
Healey-Hamelin-Clarke

3 of 8 on the power play for RPI.

I can't think of any other reason that RPI looked like they were in
the offensive game besides the lines. I can only think that the
line juggling of the night before cost the Engineers 2 points in the
ECAC standings, and first place.

A hard lesson learned for Dan Fridgen.

Bryan Masotta impressed for RPI, as he was only beaten once, and that
Chris Aldous' attempt at stopping Mike Scollan, and Scollan beat
Masotta over the glove shoulder.

I was impressed with the overall offensive and defensive presence of
RPI tonight. Offense flowed, and defense stepped up. Adam Bartell
was out with an ankle injury, and Chris Kiley was inserted into his
place, and he looked imppressive last night. He stepped up and
played big in front of Masotta.

I was impressed with 2 Cornell Big Red.
Jason Elliot was basically what kept this game from being a 8-10
goal victory for RPI. He was spectacular after looking shaky in the
1st period. His breakaway save on Bryan Richardson was incredible,
and he was strong on numerous odd man rushes.

Steve Wilson was also all over the puck, I'd say he got 25-30 minutes of
the ice time on defense. He was strong defensively and offensively, and
only a sophmore. Could be the next Brian Mueller.

Engineers head to Achilles to play the slumping Dutchmen on Friday.
