Jim Teresco mentioned it earlier tonight, but I just wanted to add my
thoughts.

Troy Stevens was probably the best forward on the Union team, with
apologies to Cory Holbrough & Russ Monteith. He's a lightning-quick
skater that makes things happen. Stevens was hovering around 20 points
when the announcement came tonight. I've only been watching college hockey
for the past 7-8 years, but I've never seen anybody with the ability
to set up chances for his team like Troy has. I think of players like
Todd Marchant (who left Clarkson after his junior year) and even someone
like Cal Ingraham. Those speedsters who would bring the puck into the
zone and blow by the defense. It's those types of players that start
big plays, if they don't finish them themselves!

I've never been a fan of a player leaving school early, especially if
he's one of the better ones on the team! I think it's still too early
in his career for Troy to leave Union. While a great player, he might be
better suited to stick around. But, he made his choice and I wish him
luck.

Anyway, I'm sure Bruce Delventhal will miss him along with the rest of the
Union fans. I wouldn't be surprised to see Troy in the show sometime in
the near future.

Daerly disappointed,
