BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY -- Senior center Kevin Lune has 25 points (10 goals, 15 assists) this year surpassing his career best of 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) as a junior. He is only four points shy of his career total of 29 points, achieved during his sophomore and junior seasons. Lune's career totals heading into Friday's game against Illinois @ Chicago are 23 goals and 31 assists for 54 points. FERRIS STATE UNIVERSITY -- Ferris State's sweep of Western Michigan was their first CCHA sweep of the season and first over the Broncos since January 3-4, 1987, when the Bulldogs won twice by the scores of 7-6 and 6-5 in overtime in a home-and-home series. UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT CHICAGO -- Three senior forwards have moved into the top eight on the UIC all-time scoring chart. Derek Knorr is seventh with 55 goals and 71 assists for 126 points, while Chris MacDonald (41-76) and Mark Zdan (50-67) are tied-for-eighth with 117 points. LAKE SUPERIOR STATE UNIVERSITY -- Junior right wing Sean Tallaire has 14 points on nine goals and five assists in the last 10 games to take over the team lead in scoring with a season total of 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 points. He led the Lakers in scoring last season with 23 goals and 32 for 54 points. MIAMI UNIVERSITY -- Senior forward Jason Mallon raised his season totals to eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points with two points against Lake Superior. The 19 points ties his career best set during the 1991-92 season (6-13), while his season best total of nine goals was set last season. UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN -- Sophomore center John Madden recorded his first career hat trick and third multiple-goal game in Saturday's win over Notre Dame. His season totals now stand at 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points surpassing his rookie total of six goals and 11 assists for 17 points. Madden has been minus (plus/minus) one time this year. MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY -- Senior right wing Dean Sylvester had his first three-point game of the season on Saturday. He has five multiple-point games and three multiple-goal games this year. Sylvester has a plus/minus rating of +9 and has been minus five times in 24 games this season. UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME -- Saturday's "home" crowd of 20,889 at the Palace of Auburn Hills broke last year's record crowd of 20,427. Sophomore defenseman Bryan Welch has five points (two goals, three assists) in the last eight games after recording one assist in his first 15 games this season. Both of his goals have been on the power play. OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY -- Senior left wing Steve Richards has a point in seven straight games scoring six goals and 14 points, while recording a plus/minus rating of +5 with two power play goals and a game-winning goal during the streak. Richards has four multiple-point games in the last seven contests. WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY -- Three freshmen (Chad Anderson, Graham Bridel and Joel Irving) combined for the Broncos second goal on Saturday. It was the fourth point of the year for Irving, second for Anderson and first for Bridel. First-year Bronco players have recorded 24 goals and 61 points. UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA FAIRBANKS -- Senior netminder Brian Fish has a 1-3-0 record in his last four appearances with a 2.95 goals-against average and a .904 saves percentage. During this four-game span, he has lowered his goals- against average by .75 and raised his saves percentage by .020.
