Is it too early to start talking 1996 Tickets?? Well, they're on sale, so I
guess not. This is a story from _The Cincinnati Post_, reprinted, of course,
without permission. Keep in mind while reading, however, that this paper
serves a relatively college hockey-incompetent area. The area code for the
local phone number and the "OH" in the address are the only things I added to
the story.

Hockey Tourney Coming

by Bob Queenan (Post staff reporter)

College Hockey's biggest show still is more than a year away from
coming to Cincinnati, but organizers already are launching a ticket-selling
campaign.
All-session tickets for next year's NCAA Division I hockey
championships, to be held March 28-30 at Riverfront Colisseum, were placed on
sale today at the Colisseum and Select-A-Seat locations.
An all-session ticket -- for admission to two semifinal games and the
NCAA final -- is $69.50. A $2.50 service or handling charge per order, not
ticket, is added if ordered by phone or by mail.
Don Schumacher, executive director of the Cincinnati Sports and Events
Commission, said about 7,500 tickets likely will be sold to spectators from
outside the Cincinnati area for each session. Another 2,500 tickets per
session go to the four participating schools and the NCAA.
That leaves about 6,000 tickets per session to be sold to people in the
Cincinnati area.
St. Paul tickets were purchased by people from 39 states and Canada,
Schumacher said. Fans come from schools such as Wisconsin, Minnesota,
Michigan, Michigan State, Boston University and Maine.
All-session tickets are available at the Colisseum drive-up window or
through Select-A-Seat, locally at (513) 721-1000.
To order by mail, send check, money order or charge card number to:
