RPI defeated Yale 6-5 in OT after Yale dominated the first 47 minutes
of this afternoon's contest.

Yale outplayed, outhustled, and out everythinged RPI for the first 47
minutes enroute to a 4-1 lead. They had this lead going into the 3rd
when RPI all of a sudden showed signs of life.

Yale had built a 4-1 lead based on a PPG, a 4 on 4 goal, and a shorthander
as they dominated the boards and the neutral zone on RPI.

RPI came to life approximately 7 minutes into the third on the power play
with Askew's goal, and the got back to within 1 less than 2 minutes
later at even strength.

Dunlap gave the bulldogs back the 2 goal lead in the second, but the
Engineers came back again on goals by Hamelin and Perardi, and we
ended regulation at a tie of 5.

Yale came out quickly in OT, and controlled the zone, but Askew broke out
of the zone and went past Dan Brierly along the boards and took a shot
which was blocked in front by a combination of Giroux and Clarke on the
ice, and the puck came to Matthews and at 0:47 of OT, Matthews drilled
it home to give the Engineers a come from behind 6-5 victory.

More later on this game.
