The CC penalty did not get wiped because the teams were at even strength. There was one other goof where minnesota opened it up to 3-1 in the 2nd with 2 or 3 seconds left in a CC major, and the remaining time was wiped of the scoreboard. CC did skate 4 on 5 for the 3 seconds, showing that shep (WCHA supervisor of officials and referee last night) had at least one part of his refereeing head screwed on correctly. > And thanks to Charlie Shub, who made getting home a lot easier by telling > us "the back door" to getting out of the Cadet Fieldhouse parking lot. :) Just as long as that doesn't get to be too widely known a secret exit passage. Als, it isn't to be used in bad weather. My thoughts were that CC didn't play as well as i've seen them play this year. Passes seemed not quite so crisp, they seemed to not be getting position in too close, and they seemed not to be able to get to rebounds. At times, they looked as inept as they looked against air force in the first game of that series or anchorage in the second game. I wish I knew enough about the game to be able to attribute that perception to "cc was having a bad evening" versus "minnesota took them off their game" (does that make sense?) Clearly, against Air Force an Anchorage, it was the former, but I just don't know about last night. last night, I gave up my top row seat to stand in the corners and be the "semi-official" zamboni door opener. Those of you watching might see me behind the minnesota goal (1 & 3) dressed in blue, sporting my air force falcons hat. As an aside to Carol, I hope I got you some good press by thanking (again) the gopher assistant coach who gave us the tour of mariucci last spring. charlie shub [log in to unmask] -or- cdash@colospgs (BITNET) (719) 593 3492 (fax) 593-3369
