Last year Jeff Moen and Jeff Callinan split the netminding duties, but this year Minn has relied soley on Callinan. Sophmore Moen went 11-8-1 and Junior Callinan went 14-5-3. Callie's doing ok this year, but you have to wonder if maybe a little friendly competition between goalies might produce more wins. Next year should be Moen's year as sophmore Steve DeBus warms bench. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I wouldn't bet on next year being Moen's year. From what I have heard through the grapevine, DeBus is the best of all three gaolies that Minnesota has this year (i.e., including Callinan), but Debus will probably be red-shirted this year if at all possible (I was surprised that DeBus dressed earlier this year for one game). It will be interesting to see what transpires. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- [log in to unmask] John J. Feigal Go Gophers!
