The IU hockey team bounced back from a pair of huge losses last weekend
to Ohio by destroying Illinois State twice this weekend at the Southern
Center, 13-3 and 8-2.
 
I didn't see Friday's game (was too busy b-casting the IU-Croatia hoops
matchup), but the Hoosiers held a precarious 1-0 lead after the first,
before exploding for 9 second-period goals before starting Hoosier
goaltender Alex Kyrias was pulled in favor of Tony Dilts.  Dilts held the
lead, but gave up 3 Redbird goals in the process, as IU knocked off
Illinois State, 13-3.  Captain Bryan Lore totaled nine points on the
evening.
 
The Hoosiers didn't let up any on Saturday night, scoring just :30 into
the match on a goal by Scott Gustafsen on a great feed from Bryan Lore,
and never looking back.  A huge second period and big nights from Lore,
Jim Viscardi, and starting goaltender Mike Wilson helped the Hoosiers to
the 8-2 victory.  Welllllll...here's the linescores from the games.
