Charlie Schub asked:

----------------------------

a player gets
        a double minor for roughing
        a 10 minute misconduct
        and a game misconduct

must said player sit out the next game?

----------------------------

Since Charlie is involved (judging by his many helpful posts) with
NCAA hockey, the NCAA rule book answer is ...

No! Rule 4-4 (b):
A game misconduct penalty involves the suspension of a player,
coach, manager, trainer or any other team personnel for the
balance of the game; however, a substitute is permitted to
        replace a player immediately.
     Note:
This is not to be confused with the disqualification penalty
plus a major penalty. A player receiving a game misconduct
penalty is suspended for the remainder of that game only. The
player is allowed to play in the team's next scheduled game.

It's the disqualification penalty which incurs progressive game
suspensions.

Now if the game were to be played under USA Hockey rules, which has no
DQ's, then a game misconduct would usually require sitting out the next
game (rule 404(d)). I say `usually', which means yes in the quoted
instance, because the next-game-suspension doesn't apply if the game
misconduct was awarded for 3rd man in, and there's a 2-game suspension
if it's for a 2nd major penalty in a game. There's also a potential
review by the supervising authorities, who can impose further sanctions
if they deem fit. If it's a Junior A or B level game, then it's a
simple one game suspension in all cases.

Under Canadian HA rules, a game misconduct removes the player from just
that game (though with a report to the `President for further action'),
unless it occurs in the last 10 minutes of a game (inc. OT if any) in
minor and female hockey, whereupon it incurs a minumum of a one game
suspension or seven days (rule 32(b) and (c)).
