I usually just lurk on this list, but I find myself having to ponder out loud (so to speak). I've been trying to figure out what the hell is wrong the Terriers. The obvious problems are on defense, the power play, and the goaltending. The defense seems to be missing at least two players. Rich Brennan and Kaj Linna have yet to suit up for a game. (Those must have been imposters in their uniforms). Brennan has about 16 PIM's in 3 games which for a senior (and an Alternate Capt) is ridiculous. Linna must lead the league in icing. How is the supposed best defense in the country supposed to maintain that claim if the top two members of the corps play like freshmen? (No offense intended to freshmen) Thank God Jon Coleman has stepped his game up a notch this season and Chris Kelleher has been surprisingly sturdy this early on. I have yet to figure out what Jack Parker is doing with the power play. Why is Ken Rausch being moved back to point?? I thought he had planned on moving O'Sullivan back there on the PP? Rausch has been a big enough disappointment at forward, why add to it? O'Sullivan at the point would be to this years power play as David Sacco was all those years, solid offensive potential while not sacrificing anything on the defense. Goaltending should turn around. Should. As much as I hate to sound like I'm second guessing Parker, I'm surprised that he went with Herlofsky in the second Lowell game. I thought for sure Noble would have earned himself the start. I doubt the back to back shelling helped Derek's confidence much. I'm sure he'll get it together, but I just think Noble could have used the game as another big confidence booster. Re: Saturday's BU-Lowell game Is it just me (a purist) or was there something unnatural about a goalie who wears #13 and another goalie being an Alternate Capt? Shawn Bates reminds me more and more of Tony Amonte... Matt Wright made one of the best hits I've seen in along time. Unfortunately he got carried away hitting everything and everybody. It's too bad the last guy he hit wasn't anywhere near the puck :( For some strange reason I have the feeling I was sitting in front of fellow Hockey-Lers at the game. Did anyone else happen to be sitting in section L row 11? Just curious... Rich Boston Univ.
