Brown defeated Yale tonight 4-1 in New Haven to complete a 4 point weekend on the road. Ryan Mulhern scored twice for the Bears, included a beautiful one timer on a pass from Eric Trach with under 5 minutes to go in the game and Yale on a power play. This final Mulhern goal sealed the victory for Brown. Also scoring were Rob Merrill and freshman John Direnzo. Yale's only goal was scored by Andy Wiedenbach. Brown got an especially strong effort tonight from its defense, which allowed Yale very few legitimate scoring opportunities. For the second night in a row Brown was perfect on the penalty kill. Offensively, the first line of Trach, Jardine, and Mulhern is off to a great start, as is the fourth line of Humber, Merrill, and Direnzo. Brown is now 3-0 for the season (overall and ECAC) and returns home next weekend to face Cornell and Colgate. Mike
