Sort of looked like your average NHL All-Star Game, at least through the first
period, but then the hitting began to pick up a bit (no fights, sorry).

Three players that impressed me in the game (strangely, all played for the
Green team, which won 7-4): Chad Alban, the freshman goaltender, who appears
to be the #2 goalie (he played the 1st and 3rd periods) with a few nice saves
on Carter and Guolla (come to think of it, the only goalie that didn't look
sharp was Buzak); Steve Ferranti, the sophomore forward, who had a couple of
goals and looked to be in the form he was at the end of last year (reminded me
a bit of the other #15 who used to wear Green and White); and Dean Sylvester,
the senior forward who transferred from Kent, who scored a nice breakaway goal
on Buzak in the 1st and appears to be deceptively quick for his size (6-2, 200).
It's tough to tell what MSU's starting lines will be. There was a mention in
yesterday's Lansing State Journal that Sylvester will play RW on a line with
Suk and Murray, while the RW for Carter and Guolla is still a question mark
(last night it was Brian Clifford). Ferranti seems to be a lock as the third
line center, but I would prefer to see the Murray-Ferranti-Clifford line to-
gether again, with Sylvester winging for Carter and Guolla.

But, then again, I don't coach the team.
