Harkness also started the hockey program at Union college in 1970, was head
of the Olympic Authority in Lake Placid, brought the ECAC Chapionships there
a few years ago, and was instumental in bringing an AHL team to Glens Falls
(the Adirondack Red Wings) On a nonhockey note also brought a lacrosse
championship to RPI
