     new hampshire senior defenseman scott malone has signed with the new
     york rangers.  i believe he passed up his senior season.  btw, malone
     was acquired by the rangers as part of the glenn anderson mike gartner
     trade.
 
     and andy silverman of maine officially signed with the rangers as
     well.
 
     i believe hockey east now has five pro signings.  the others are the
     ferraro's and pomichter.
