MICHIGAN TECH'S STEVENS ADDED TO U.S. OLYMPIC FESTIVAL - '94
Huskies Will Have Four Representatives in St. Louis

Houghton, Mich. -- Senior right wing Randy Stevens (Sault Ste. Marie,
Mich.) of the Michigan Tech hockey team has been added to the South roster
for the U.S. Olympic Festival - ''94, July 1-10 in St. Louis, Missouri. The
announcement came today from USA Hockey headquarters in Colorado Springs,
Colo.
"Randy is very, very deserving of playing in the Festival," said head
coach Bob Mancini, who will guide Team North at the event. "He is without a
doubt one of the top 40 U.S.-born players 20 or older. It will be a great
experience for him and I'm sure he'll be a big asset for the South squad."
Stevens had the best year of his career last season as a junior totaling a
career-high 21 goals and 33 points.
Along with Mancini and Stevens, Jeff and Pat Mikesch will also represent
MTU at the Festival. Pat Mikesch will be a member of Mancini's Team North,
while Jeff Mikesch, who was on Gold-medal-winning Team East last year at
the Festival, will play for coach Bob Daniels on Team West.
U.S. Olympic Festival - '94 will help determine the USA's rosters for the
1995 U.S. National Junior Team and the 1994 U.S. Over-20 Team.
