I don't think HE would do anything other than send Maine to BU. I cannot see them wreaking havoc with all of the 7 other teams. After all, they are just the innocent victims. Also, as I mentioned to someone yesterday, I suspect that Jack Parker has been having his team prepare for Maine this week in case this situation occurred. He's no dummy. Remember, Merrimack is scheduled to play at Mass Lowell tomorrow. I seriously doubt the league would switch the matchups this late. More questions: * Will Maine argue that since the NC$$ is considering its games as non-forfeits for selection purposes, then HE should likewise not adjust their position in the standings and they should not have to go to BU? After all, what power does HE have to punish Maine more than the NC$$ did? * If BU is beaten by Maine in the first round, will BU turn around and haul Maine into court, challenging the restraining order - and if it is overturned, will Maine have to drop out of the semifinals and be replaced by BU, since Maine should not have (legally) been there in the first place? Will the 1994 HE Championship be decided with gavels and judges instead of sticks and referees? --- --- Mike Machnik [log in to unmask] Cabletron Systems, Inc. *HMM* 11/13/93 <<<<< Color Voice of the (16-17-2) Merrimack Warriors WCCM 800 AM >>>>>
