So this is what happens when your hockey team gets good... Well, at least I survived. It took 3 hours in line, but I now have vouchers which entitle me to pick up 8 tickets for each of the Union-RPI playoff games this weekend. I have never seen anything like that here. 1000 tickets went on sale at Achilles this morning at 9. I got there at 8:45, thinking that I might have to wait for a few minutes, but no big deal. The lobby was packed. The line took three hours, and it was still almost as long when I left at 11:45 as when I arrived.. At one point it was going down the stairs out in front of the rink. So much for my 11:00 class up at RPI... Union has just one ticket window, so even working as fast as they could, Kathee Natole and her staff were just overwhelmed. It definitely looks like Union College has caught playoff fever! Students, faculty, administrators, alumni - all standing in line for 3 hours waiting for tickets to see Union's first ECAC playoff games. It was great to see that kind of support, but I just wish the line would have moved a bit faster.. Jim P.S. If you see someone wearing a Union Hockey hat around RPI's campus this week, that's me. -- Jim Teresco, Department of Computer Science, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute [log in to unmask] (alternates: [log in to unmask], [log in to unmask]) Home: (518)347-0967, School: (518)276-4849, Sage 1112 Union College C.S.
