Tuesday night (3/1), Boston University defeated New Hampshire 5-2 in BU's last trip to Snively (sp?). UNH, playing only 3 lines due to recent suspensions, looked tired, especially in the third. BU's fourth line (Raush, Jenkins, and Pratt) played exceptionally well, keeping play in the UNH zone most of the night when they were on the ice. Although BU outshot UNH something like 20-6 in the first, UNH somehow had a 1-0 lead. In the second, UNH had a slight edge in shots while BU took a 2-1 lead. After giving up the tieing goal early in the third on a rebound, BU clamped down on the tired UNH team and did not allow another shot on net (for apx last 18 minutes of game). This was not the same UNH team that I watched (taped it off of chnl 50) beat Lowell this weekend. Instead of being hungry, they looked listless. Although McKersie did not appear to have a "great" game in goal, the BU team came up and continued BU's unbeaten streak since losing to Harvard in the first round of the Beanpot. It was also nice to see BU play well in the game following their first ever clinching of the Hockey East regular season championship. BU now has a home-and-home with Providence this weekend before playing (sitting with a bye (doubtful)) someone (Merrimack, Maine, Team Italia...) in the Hockey East tourney. Hopefully they can, #1, sweep Providence and, #2, play someone the following week and, #3, have some idea who they're playing before game-time that Friday. :-) Tony BU'92'93 Former Ogre
